Here I Am

Texts for Sunday, January 14, 2024 – 2nd Sunday after Epiphany

1 Samuel 3:1-10 (11-20), Psalm 139:1-6,13-18, 1 Corinthians 6:12-20, John 1:43-51

I am hoping that the weather cooperates this weekend and we are able to hold services in our building. However, it is highly likely that we may need to suspend in-person worship due to unsafe conditions. In that event, I will post a live-stream morning devotional on our Facebook account at 10:30am.

As we move into the new year, we have been reminded of our baptismal vows and this week, we will explore our call in ministry. Our text is a favorite of many and a personal favorite as well. We look to 1 Samuel (3:1-10) in a message simply titled, “Here I Am.”

This year is an extremely important year for our church ministry. As followers of Christ Jesus and Methodists, it will be imperative that we become the Church for those outside our local congregation sharing the good news of hope and grace.
